VP, Marketing Technology Services

BrightWave, an Ansira Company, is looking for a Vice President of Marketing Technology Services to join the agency in a highly visible & impactful role that works at the leading edge of email and cross-channel precision marketing technology. This individual will play a key role in the success of all BrightWave clients by leading the internal Platform Technology, Development and QA functions. We are looking for a leader who is comfortable leveraging existing & emerging technologies to drive consistency & innovation in service quality, thereby creating a competitive edge for our clients using enterprise marketing cloud solutions.

Typical activities for this role include:

  • Close collaboration with the Strategic Services & Creative Teams to provide internal and external guidance around how best to configure and leverage multiple enterprise SaaS marketing cloud solutions (SalesForce Marketing Cloud, HCL Unica, Acoustic, Cheetah Digital, Message Gears, etc.) to operationalize complex, data-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with account teams in auditing, shaping and guiding email & multi-channel marketing programs for both enterprise B2C and B2B clients
  • Perform in-depth capability and configuration discovery around marketing technology solutions
  • Lead audits of database technology & architecture to present recommendations for optimization
  • Help guide marketing automation platform implementations, upgrades and migrations between platforms
  • Serve as authoritative SME around data access & to generate targeted campaign audiences and support marketing reporting functions
  • Present authoritative POVs, technology roadmaps, audit findings, conceptual/logical architectures, and recommendations relating to marketing technology solutions
  • Leverage both relational & distributed computing/unstructured data platforms to stage and model data in such a way that support precision marketing, data science and advanced analytics capabilities
  • Deploy custom web services to utilize robust API's from various marketing cloud, email service provider, data management and reporting/analytics solutions
  • Assist the SVP of Performance & Innovation with the development of a new Data Science & Advanced Analytics capability to automate reporting & data visualization for clients as well as bring predictive & prescriptive analytics capabilities to market
  • Serve as BrightWave's leading technical experts and spearhead training programs around technology solutions for both internal and external clients
  • Assist with new business development opportunities
  • Occasional travel for client meetings & industry conferences
  • Contribution of thought-leadership content for the BrightWave blog

Job Requirements:

  • Technical Certification in at least 1 enterprise level CHRM System, with an emphasis on email technology (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, HCL Unica, Acoustic, Cheetah Digital, Message Gears, Cordial, etc.)
  • A minimum of combined 7 years' experience, both hands-on & management experience, with CRM system implementations, integrations and upgrade of at least 1 of the following: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, HCL Unica or similar Enterprise Marketing System
  • Deep expertise with Email Service Provider technology platforms and associated email personalization, measurement and optimization specialized technologies/capabilities
  • Strong data architecture skills (Conceptual, Logical, Physical modeling), fluent in relational & unstructured query languages, experience with enterprise relational database management platforms (Oracle, Teradata) as well as cloud-based distributed computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Expert in API & web service solution architecture, coding, orchestration, and operation
  • Uncanny ability to learn how to use new technology
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical, non-technical and executive audiences
  • Training and mentorship of Technology Team with emphasis on data, technology & analytics
  • Bachelor's degree (ideally in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field) from an accredited institution
