Creative Production Manager

BrightWave, an Ansira Company, is seeking a multi-talented Creative Production Manager to lead our team of hybrid designer/developers, oversee projects and efficiently manage production to ensure on-brand deliverables for our roster of leading brands. The ideal candidate has a creative background with a strong project management skill set and hands on experience in design and web/email development. In addition to having a sharp branding eye and love for design systems, this wunderkind must have an operational mindset, be able to remove bottlenecks to keep deliverables moving, create a scalable model for this team to handle growth and act as a bridge between the Creative and Technology teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leads Production team, a group of hybrid skill sets that takes on both design and development
  • Collaborates with Creative Leads and Dev Manager to identify work that can be expedited via the Production team. This includes defining what kind of work is production work and partnering with the Operations team to create processes or workflows to ensure the team is being optimally utilized in a predictable way
  • Actively oversees schedules for the team to confirm the right work is flowing through the right teams using our project management software and frequently communicating with the project management group
  • Manages brand consistency, development and execution of work based on established design system; has an eagle eye for details in branding and can tastefully call out details that aren’t on brand
  • Understands email development possibilities and limitations and is well-versed in how design and dev work together
  • Exercises exceptional problem solving and escalation management
  • Establish clear estimates and timelines for requested work with creative leaders and project managers


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency, design degrees preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment, agency experience welcomed
  • 3+ years of experience managing a production/studio team
  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch
  • Proficiency in HTML email development
  • Understanding of email design best practices and standards
  • Understanding of email development best practices and standards
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills, seeks consensus and solves problems independently—100 times per hour
  • Incredibly flexible; thrives in a change-by-the-minute environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excels in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment; effective manager of conflicting priorities
